We are quickly following up our first shoe collaboration with a special sneaker project. Conceived in 2008, this one has taken some time to reach completion, and the results are all that we hoped for. We partnered up with Adidas and threw some of our humor, along with some style cues onto one of their less-seen classic silhouettes, the Stan Smith Mid. First introduced in 1965, the Stan Smith is a vintage tennis shoe that has been a footwear standard for generations. Once we got the ok to work the shoe, in typical Deep tradition, we went Raw Dog on it.

The name – Raw Dogs – comes directly from the rawhide leather laces and huge monster mouth print on the insole/inner shoe that accent the premium suede, Iron and Chrome gray upper. In addition to the rustic look of the leather laces, the shoes also come with an iron gray, and black sets of laces. On the outsides of the shoes the look retains the classic three perforated stripes that characterized the original shoe, but on the inner sides of each shoe, we used the same perforated motif to mark out our logo in grand but subtle fashion. That and we topped it all off with our sticker attack motif – 10.Deep versus the Adidas Trefold – right on the tongue label.
