ALIFE's version of this early 90s New York classic boot features premium leather upper from one of the first and last great American tanneries: the Chicago-based HORWEEN Leather Company. Established in 1905 and known as the country's best leather tannery, Horween ships leather to the world's finest shoemakers and is the leather supplier to the NFL and NBA for the manufacture of professional footballs and basketballs.
In addition, just like the 90's version of the boot, ALIFE's 40 Below features a Vibram outsole—not available on any other 40 Below on the market. Founded in 1935, Vibram is credited for producing the first ever rubber outsole with a thread designed specifically mountaineering.
